Lady Grey Milk Tea Jam

Ingredients
  

  • 250 ml Whole Milk
  • 150 ml Whipping Cream
  • 10 g Condensed Milk
  • 30 g Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 bags Lady Grey Tea
  • Salt, to balance (Optional)

Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Wooden Spatula
  • 1 Balloon Whisk
  • 1 Mason Jar

Method
 

  1. - Mix whole milk, whipping cream, and condensed milk in a saucepan, put under medium-low heat. Keep on stirring and let simmer.
  2. Add Lady Grey Teabags in the mixture, and brew for 5-10 minutes until fragrant and the colour turn light brown. Remove teabags.
  3. Turn the stove down to low heat and add in dark brown sugar.
  4. Whisk vigorously until the mixture has reached the desired consistency. For the final touch, and turn off the heat.
  5. Before diving in, store in a sterilized jar and let cool in the fridge overnight to allow jam to set.
  6. Enjoy Your Jam!

Notes

  • Stir frequently while the jam is cooking to prevent it from overcooking on the sides of the pan.
  • Sterilize jar to increase shelf-life of the jam.
  • Do not worry if the jam's consistency is too thin, it will thicken up lots by the next morning after chilling in the fridge.
